I'm a female college student in California and I'm trying to study abroad next year in Australia (Australia's semester 1-summer/fall) and I have to rank the U. of Queensland, U. of Sydney and U. of Melbourne. Brisbane has the best weather of the lot and is more laid-back and 'tropical' (that's only relatively though - it's still several hundred kilometres away from the tropics).As someone who lives in North Queensland I've never been impressed by Sydney's beaches - then again I've not seen any of the beaches any further north than Manly, and apparently that's where the best beaches are.
