In this instance, affordability is really the ability to service the loan on the property you purchase.In terms of the raw cost of living there isn’t too much of a difference between the three cities.What this tells us is that living in Sydney or Melbourne is not significantly more expensive than living in Brisbane.

I'm favouring Brisbane so far.

In the city there is just this energy that isn't apparent in Brisbane.

I will be doing a mix of work and study. Australia’s climates. They all seem to love it.I am no city slicker hence the more rural/limited city lifestyle of Brisbane is fine for me.Sydney offers better variety of entertainment and more of where you can dine/lunch out, at an elevated level, not just Bogan pubs (in that sense) hence a bit more upmarket overall.There should not be any real competition between Brisbane and Sydney – those who want real city buzz move Sydney and those preferring a more relaxed "city" go Brisbane – it's just a short plane trip apart hence not really an issue.I took a trip down to Melbourne recently and came running back to Brisbane for the consistent weather.I enjoy the idea that there are more people, thus more opportunities and excitement.Though I might add, that coming from Sydney, if you lurk around the Eastern suburbs area as I have only grown too accustomed to, you will but end up in a little bubble.
