The Trouble with Maggie Cole is a British comedy-drama television series directed by Ben Gregor, and written by Mark Brotherhood. 1st episode shows potential so I stuck with it. Maggie wants to apologise to everyone she's upset and goes to visit GP Carol. The exterior location shots were wonderful though, but it's not enough to prop up what is nothing more than a very silly PC Am-Dram production. Lacked any drama, lacked any humour and was painfully slow and clunky, hard to see why it was commissioned, even in an afternoon slot it would have been below par.

Much like 'Quiz' they overhyped this so much,making it out to be amazing, when actually it was probably a show that needed to quietly launch, gain an audience through word of mouth and grow. Dawn French fans should head for 'Delicious' in which she's superb and there is drama and comedy in abundance. Well everything ended up all fine for Maggie in the end. In her excitement and with the help of a couple of G&Ts, she shares gossip about some notable residents in the community - in particular; local GP Carol, publican Brian, author Marcus Ormansby, hairdresser Kelly, teaching assistant Roxanna and Maggie's best friend Jill. She chased after her and apologised for what she said. Alan then left with his bags.Maggie and her family arrived at the pub and everyone went silent. Maybe times at ITV are hard - dwindling advertising revenues now that Amazon Prime and Netflix screen something actually watching.
